The number of inbound links from an authoritative high-quality website is a major factor in achieving your Google Page Rank (PR).  Quality Link Building is accomplished by getting genuine links from established websites with a strong presence.

When you submit guest articles to relevant websites, you can ask for a backlink to your site. You may also be able to add a backlink at the end of your article to your website with the relevant anchor tag you are promoting.

You can connect with multiple websites that cover your industry and become a monthly guest authoritative article provider to gain more exposure in Google, Yahoo, and Bing search engines. I am not talking about article directory sites but rather publications or other niche websites.

Videos and Explainer Video Animation are the hottest media for promoting your business products and services. You can post the videos on your own website and external video sites such as YouTube, Vimeo, LinkedIN, Twitter, Facebook, and others.

Build your brand by establishing a good Link Building strategy using your authoritative content. In addition to your published articles and video posts, you can create other content. Start with guest blog posts to build a relationship with bloggers. Create a PowerPoint presentation and upload it to LinkedIn SlideShare. Illustrate an informative infographic that tells a story of your business process and expertise and share these on Pinterest, reddit, and other sites.

Google also penalizes if you are using techniques that are overused and abused over the years. Some of these poor link building examples include the following:
